Nothing can beat walking out into your own yard to pick a fresh apple,
peach, plum or any of many fruits and nut that can be grown just feet
away from your door. Fruit trees are an attractive addition incorporated
directly into the landscape. No orchard required. Many produce
outstanding displays of blossoms in spring, and are extremely colorful
while in fruit. The deciduous varieties leaves will often transform in
fall, offering us fantastic autumn harvest color. To grow great fruit
trees you need basically need a space that has lots of sunlight and well
drained soil, although all species and cultivated varieties also have
their own special requirements. So don’t worry about needing a large
open space. Many fruit trees are now available in dwarf and semi-dwarf
varieties, perfect for smaller spaces. |
